WHAT JOBS ARE AVAILABLE TO AN AUDIO ENGINEER?

If i select to investigate to be an audio operative what jobs will be accessible to me in which field?

What identical fields/jobs/careers have been there to audio engineering?

I adore receptive to advice as well as song as well as i unequivocally wish to do something in this margin though if i have singular choices of jobs i do not consider i will aspire to it. If someone could discuss it me what jobs have been accessible to an audio operative or what else i could investigate which is identical to audio engineering/music|sound orientated which would be great!
If we have been an audio operative discuss it me what we work as!

i’d say try to build a portfolio of some good samples then apply for a mixing/recording job at a smaller recording studio/company.

Some bigger night clubs will have an A/V staff or at least a few sound guys. Try applying there first. Even if you have to start wrapping cables at the end of the night, do it. As for studio recording, that’s another portion. Try becoming an apprentice with an engineer and do grunt work. I would avoid going to schools.

Also buy the Yamaha Sound Reinforcement book.

Hey mate, I’m an unemployed audio engineer. I spent a year studying Technical Production at TAFE and 4 years studying B. Music Technology at the Queensland Conservatorium. Speaking from experience, I’m sorry to say, there is no work for audio engineers. Well, there are jobs that exist, but it’d be nothing short of a miracle if you were to get one. Even with all my accreditations, I’ve been turned away from recording studios, clubs, small and large live venues, crewing companies, radio stations, AV hire businesses, TV stations, film studios, bands, recording labels, you name it.

It’s a sad truth that these jobs are never advertised because there is a very high demand for these jobs, and they are usually filled before they’re even available. With both bands and recording studios, there’s always a mate that can fill the position.

You won’t get a job at a recording studio unless you start the studio yourself. Some places won’t hire you just because you’re qualified, both because they have to pay you more, and because the would-be employer didn’t go to some fancy school to learn how to do his job and holds resentment for someone who has.

Right now I’m working as a waiter, so I would suggest you find a different career path. But, if you’re sure it’s something you really want to do, best of luck.
